Maumee Valley Model Boat Club has been in the Toledo Metropolitan Area since the 70s. We are primarily an RC Scale Model Electric, Sail, and Steam Boat Club. What I recommend most is the Hobby itself. It takes the stress of everyday life away and is a very enjoyable and rewarding hobby for self. These Hobby and/or Commercial Grade Boats and parts are mostly not for children and thus, the Club is recommended for either young to older adults or families with children supervised by trained parents.

The Maumee Valley Model Boat Club welcomes model boat/ship hobby enthusiasts of all ages.
The Club hails back to 1972. Club members participate in events all year long with the best events occurring during the spring and summer. The Club has FUN RUNS at various pond venues in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. We typically have events twice a month. At the FUN RUNS members bring their favorite radio controlled boats and spend the morning or afternoon running their ships on the "high seas" of the pond. Members discuss their boats and exchange ideas on how to achieve the best results of their ship. Camaraderie and friendships are forged during the Club's events. The FUN RUNS give all, members and observers alike, a chance to enjoy the outdoors and to be with others who share the passion and challenges of building and running radio controlled boats. Military, historic crafts, tugs, freighters, subs, sailboats, and fast boats, are typically the types of boats run by the members. The Club welcomes all who wish to join us and to experience all that the hobby has to offer.
